About Us
Our Mission: To preserve economic diversity and sustain a thriving workforce in Steamboat Springs, CO, ensuring that the people who make our community vibrant—teachers, healthcare workers, first responders, service industry employees, and more—can afford to live, work, and thrive here.
Target Market: We focus on individuals aged 25-44 who work or aspire to work in Steamboat and want to build a future here. This includes those struggling to remain in the area due to rising costs but who are committed to making Steamboat their home. Our goal is to support people seeking stability, the ability to raise a family, and a strong sense of community—without living paycheck to paycheck.
Who We Are: We are a group of concerned residents ready to contribute our time, talent, and treasure to projects that help maintain the Steamboat we love. We represent various voices, including retirees, young family households, non-profit professionals, life-long Steamboat residents, teachers, first-responders, health and human services, and so many more.
Our Motto: Educate – Advocate – Donate!
How We Work: We host educational events and identify and financially support projects across three strategies:
- Supporting the Workforce by Reducing the Cost of Living: By helping workers stretch their paychecks further, we make it more feasible for them to stay in Steamboat.
- Advancing Affordable Housing Policies: Since housing is the number one issue in Steamboat, we work with the City of Steamboat Springs to support strategies that promote long-term affordable housing.
- Strengthening Communication and Accountability: To build trust and engagement, we are committed to: 1) Clear, consistent messaging that offers hope and solutions for local workers. 2) Transparent updates on progress, challenges, and actions taken
